I love to create things from wood.

Jigsaw Wooden Products is a small family run business that operates from Kettering, Northamptonshire. Having started out in 2011 as a craft based business, it has gradually grown and greatly expanded the range of items that can be made. At the start of 2015 we purchased a CNC router to allow us to make items of greater complexity and also to expand our capabilities.

At the heart of our company are the facts that I love to create things from wood and I love to make things that people really want and cannot buy anywhere else.  Furthermore I like a challenge! I use a mixture of craft, traditional joinery and modern construction techniques to create my products. I get a great deal of pleasure making items that my customers have helped to create through choosing colours or specifying special little details, making each piece even more personal to the recipient.  I’m always happy to adapt any item to make it ‘just right’ for its new owner.

On finished pieces, I paint each piece by hand, mainly using water-based paints as these are the most environmentally friendly. Most items need 2-3 coats of paint to ensure an even and solid colour appearance. The piece is sanded between each coat of paint. Once fully dry I am able to add any other colours or details and I also paint any engraving with a suitable contrasting colour. Finally I add any hardware required, such as hangers, clock mechanisms or pegs.

I’ll always do my best to help!

I enjoy my work and gain great pleasure when customers realise that I’m more than happy to work with them to create their item. In most cases my customers are hundreds (or even thousands) of miles away, but by the time I post their order I feel like I’ve made something for a friend, rather than a customer.

I love to make things that people really want and cannot buy anywhere else.

Please do take a look at my feedback from customers. If you have any item that you would like making from wood then please do contact me – I’ll always do my best to help!
